- Computational identification of cis-elements: Genes
are precisely controlled in normal cells. Among all regulatory pathways,
transcription regulation is a very important step. Cis-elements on
the DNA sequences interact with various transcription factors and
help to determine the transcription of corresponding genes. Computational
methods to identify cis-elements can give useful information. I developed
an
approach to identified over-represented cis-elements on related sequences,
based on Positional Weight Matrix.
